Hi, Iain

I have a pair of green pacific parrotlets [the female of which looks very parrot-like] and pair of blue [the male is a vivid blue rather than a greyish blue and the female an almost white sky-blue] I'd like to breed them. Anyone who has seen them has been surprised at what clearly are parrots on a tiny scale. They get all the food recommended for parrotlets + they have husked and eaten  up two large bags of oats on their stalks, which I cut from a field in September. They also like the buds off of beech branches. They like raisins too but get their beaks glued up with them. I'm puzzled why all four of them always whistle when they hear something opening like a door or a bag. Anyway, they are a joy to have and I like how clever they are. I would like to get two yellow ones maybe from the bloke in Crewe, who had lots of them and from whom I got my blue ones [the green ones I got from a pet shop in Bathgate. If anyone knows of any yellow ones for sale I'd be interested.
